I've had my set for about 5 years, bought several other sets for others after I got mine. I usually use them for Sushi 2+ times a week, Chinese and Japanese food on a regular basis. These ROCK! I just keep them in the car, they clean up in a few seconds, no balsa taste, better balance than the throw-away stuff, and don't have splinters.  If something ever happened to them I'd replace them in a heartbeat with the same things.
