Intro to Standup Paddleboarding: This course will provide you with basic equipment and knowledge of SUP and paddle techniques taught by certified SUP instructors, so you will feel confident and comfortable navigating the beautiful Tennessee Valley waters. This class will have you feeling relaxed as you get a workout on the water. Paddle or lay out under the beautiful sunshine as you enjoy fresh air and the beautiful nature around us.

What a great way to start the Halloween festivities off with a Halloween themed paddle around from Sutree Park around the Tennessee River! Wear your costume and bring your trick or treat bag (we may have some goodies in store for you!). We will be giving away a $50 gift card for the best costume!! You MUST register "HERE" if you need a boat so we know how many boats to bring! We can't wait to see you there!
River Sports Outfitters will be offering trips from Seven Islands State Birding Park to Cruz Landing. Weekends only. This is about a five mile paddle which will last from 2 to 4 hours depending on the current and sightseeing. The particulars are as follows:
Saturdays: Start at 9 AM to 9:30 AM from the boat launch area. This group must be off the water by 1 PM. .
Sundays: Start at 1-1:30 PM and be off the water by 5PM.
Costs: 9am to 1pm $30 per boat Saturday. 1pm-5pm Sunday $30 per boat Preregistration and payment is REQUIRED please call the store at 865-523-0066 to make a reservation.
A security deposit and or drivers license will be required for rental purposes
A shuttle service is not available at this time but you are welcome to catch a ride during transport of boats if room is available.
A liability waiver must be completed by all participants or legal guardian prior to getting on the water.
Life Jackets: All participants are required to wear the life jacket provided
Environment: Any containers carried in the boats should be tightly closed and securely attached to the boat. Please do not take any glass product and please haul out all trash
Water, sunscreen, and any personal items should be carefully stored in a waterproof container and secured to your boat. Eyeglass retainers are recommended.
Shuttle: when you shuttle your car be sure to take the keys and leave personnel possession locked up securely.
Dogs: Any dogs taken should be wearing a dog specific life jacket.
Late Take Out Arrivals: If you miss the take out and/or are late to the take out you will be assessed a late fee depending upon the time. There are no public take outs for miles downstream so watch carefully for the take out. Late is after the stated time for being off the water ie 1PM and 6PM. This will be reviewed at the time you put on the river. This charge can vary from $50 up depending on the amount of time.

Free and open to the public with your own equipment or $15 if you need boating equipment.
Join the River Sports staff as we explore the Tennessee River and delight in the beauty of Downtown Knoxville’s waterfront on our monthly evening paddling tours. On these trips, we’ll travel to Knoxville’s riverside adventure hot spots
Trip #3 VOL TOUR:Take a tour of U.T.’s campus from the Tennessee River. We will canoe past the U.T. gardens on the Ag campus, Thompson Boling Basketball Arena and Neyland Stadium. This casual 5 ½ miles round trip would be good for children through adults.
